Currently due for cinematic release in the UK in January 2021 (who knows anymore), Nomadland is directed by Chloé Zhao - best known for The Rider, which thoroughly impressed at the 2017 BFI London Film Festival.

The plot of Nomadland is described as: a woman in her sixties who, after losing everything in the Great Recession, embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad.
