Railroad to Hell: A Chinaman's Chance Listen to our review on the film podcast What our film review said: READ FULL REVIEW The narrative moves along at a sharp pace and exploits some well-judged performances from various cast members. Ernest Borgnine delivered a nice cameo in one of last film performances; and Jason Connery borrowed his Dad’s mannerisms to useful effect as Sam. But it’s Reggie Lee who steals the honours as Sing; a character caught between two worlds and wrongly accused of murder. Proudly supporting MediCinema for our 2022 film festival.

I don't like what a UK Film Review critic wrote/said about my film. Can I have the review removed/edited? Generally we do not remove reviews. It is unfair to our critics who have spent a lot of time watching your film and writing their review to have their hard work removed because you don't like their opinion. We will remove reviews should they fail to meet the UK Film Review standards we expect from our writers, and it is likely we will assign your film to another critic. Please only submit your film if you are happy to receive unbiased and genuine criticism from our critic. Many filmmakers are not used to this kind of feedback about their movies, especially ones they funded themselves and poured years of work into. Our job is to review the film as a final piece, not the arduous journey you took to make it. The critic is entitled to their opinion - one which they will have formed by watching your film in full at least once. Filmmakers should be aware that their films will not always appeal to every audience member. How do I enter my film into the UK Film Review Festival? Films can be entered into our film festival via our FilmFreeway page. We host an annual online film festival via our VOD sister site, UK Film Channel. Any filmmaker who enters the UK Film Review Festival will receive a guaranteed film review - if they haven't already had one. And anyone who receives a 5-star review will get guaranteed official selection status - should they choose to enter the festival. We have numerous categories to enter and allow submissions for short films, feature films, documentaries, and more.

Watch Another Day at the 2022 UK Film Review Festival. See the UKFRF 2022 lineup and buy your festival pass. Another Day Listen to our review on the film podcast What our film review said: READ FULL REVIEW The film is bookended by a second montage. During the finale, there is a heart-fluttering visual expression that is a little clunky in execution but expresses the sentiment of the short as succinctly as the opening. This kind of experimentation is what makes watching short films exciting. The kind of risks that pay off. Proudly supporting MediCinema for our 2022 film festival.

- Aaron Gillingham Film Critic | UK Film Review
Aaron Gillingham writes movie reviews for UK Film Critic. As one of the talented UK film critics, find out more here. Aaron Gillingham Since secondary school I’ve always had a passion for filmmaking. How a film goes from idea to a fully realised experience is something I wanted to thoroughly analyse and study so I could later make films of my own. Every aspect of filmmaking is one that fascinates me, from cinematography and sound design to directing and editing. Whilst studying media at college and university I was able to gain new skills and hobbies, one of those being film criticism. To make good films you need to watch a lot of them, that is how you develop your own taste and style. I created a short-lived review page on Facebook to express my interest in film. I very quickly transitioned my film reviews from Facebook to YouTube in 2015 on the channel ‘Aaron at the Movies’, which I still upload to frequently, but the idea of going back to written reviews is something that has never left me. As I have some experience in filmmaking and understand the many struggles that come with it, I never look to directly hate a film when reviewing it. I look at the film from all aspects and try my best to judge it fairly taking any limitations it may have into account. I know a film is good when I can’t stop thinking about it and feel the need to get as many people as possible to see it. The worst kind of movies for me are ones that are simply meh, they’re not good or bad and there genuinely isn’t much to say about it. You can find me on Twitter, LinkedIn or (as previously mentioned) YouTube for my film related opinions and general updates. Follow On Twitter Read My Film Reviews

- Rachel Pullen Film Critic | UK Film Review
Rachel Pullen writes movie reviews for UK Film Critic. As one of the talented UK film critics, find out more here. Rachel Pullen I was raised by 2 things...wolves and T.V, a childhood immersed in the wonderful world of movies and Saturday morning cartoons bred the budding film critic inside me. My film knowledge spilt out over the seams causing messy stains whenever I went to the cinema, it’s a knowledge that bores people during social occasions when they talk about how the Godfather was an amazing piece of cinema...no it wasn’t, and here is a list of reasons why you fool. What was I to do, where was I to go, how could I annoy people with my bad jokes and unnecessary film trivia without losing all my friends?... Eureka! I could become Roger Ebert! Well no I can’t because I’m not a man, nor do I really look good in glasses, so I went for the next best thing, annoying the lovely readers of UK Film Review. So here I am, spreading the love that none of you asked for, filling the minds of innocent people with all the movie facts and comedy gold that I can muster...bon appetit. Oh yeah films I like...stabby ones, you know where sexy ladies with massive boobs get stabbed loads in the face, they give me warm feelings inside, and of course the following: Brick, Manic, What Richard Did, Inside, Halloween, Friday 13th Part 2 [cos the others are lame], Hush, Cell 22, Wonderboys, Fire walk with me and XXX Pirates, which was the most expensive porno ever made and as you can imagine has some absolutely amazing acting in it, if you have not seen it then what have you been doing all your life?...sheer acting gold.
